View Plans for the New East Hamilton MS
Tuesday, July 10th
There will be a public meeting to view plans for the new East Hamilton Middle School on Tuesday, July 10th at 6:30pm at East Hamilton School.  TWH Architects representatives will be at the meeting to provide an overview of the project and plans for the new middle school for the Missionary Ridge Learning Community of Hamilton County Schools.  The meeting will be in the theater at East Hamilton School with Mayor Jim Coppinger and Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson beginning the program.
Parents and the community will be able to view plans developed by the architects and talk with district leaders and architects at the meeting.  There will be a question and answer session and the opportunity to provide suggestions for consideration for the new school.
The location of the new East Hamilton Middle is near Apison Elementary School.  The school is a project in the $125 million building plan approved by the Hamilton County Board of Education last October.  The Hamilton County Commission approved funding to address school facility needs in September.

New School Dress Code for EHMHS
2018-2019 School Year
Student dress should exemplify an atmosphere of learning. Students may not wear any type of dress or look that is distracting or disrespectful to the learning environment. In terms of decisions regarding school dress, the professional judgment of teachers and administrators will prevail.

Please view the new dress code on the school website. Note that there are different dress codes for middle school students vs. high school students.
Transportation Information
Bus Riders and Car Riders
If your child will be riding the bus to school, please use the Transportation Services webpage to locate the closest bus stop or to request an additional bus stop. Please note that buses will sometimes run late the first few days of school as the drivers learn new routes and make sure each child gets on and off at the appropriate stop. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

If your child will be a car rider, please review the guidelines below:
  • There will be no staff to supervise and the school will not be open prior to 6:45 AM.
  • All students who are car riders will be directed to wait outside in the car rider pick-up/drop-off area ONLY. This area is located on the north/right side of the building. All parents are to pick students up in this supervised area.
  • No parents are to park in the front parking lot - it is for faculty only. Only bus riders will be allowed in/out the front doors.
EHS Summer Learning Project
All East Hamilton Students
This year the Fine Arts department has taken the lead with the summer "reading" project and has decided to focus on Music Education. We titled the project "Summer Playlist," as students will be asked to follow music resources, Tennessee university music programs, a TedEd talk on music education and prospective album covers to complete a vision board final product.
