Welcome back!!  The announcements this year are all listed here as follows: the top section applies to the whole school, followed by the Middle School section, then the High School section, then Seniors Only.


News for all of EHMHS:

Picture Day is August 18th. 


EHS Open House is Tuesday, August 22nd at 6 pm for all grades.



Middle School:

Middle School Tennis: See Mrs. Dennis on the upper green hall for more information.


Middle School Cross Country is open to all students in grades 6-8. New runners are welcome: no experience necessary! Practices will be held Monday-Thursday (& some Fridays), 2:30-3:30, starting August 14th. Meet outside at the front of the school, dressed to run. Get the details on the school website.



Any Middle School girl that is interested in playing basketball will have the opportunity to participate in open gyms every Wednesday starting this week. It will be in the MS gym from 2:30-3:30. See Coach Payne for any questions you may have. Basketball Tryouts will begin Monday, September 25. 


High School:

There will be a High School Science Olympiad meeting this Friday at 9:30 during directed studies in Mr. Manley's room 1249 (lower yellow).  Members and anyone else interested should attend.


There will be a fishing club informational meeting during the first part of advisory Friday in the Hurricane Hub


August 22nd – Julian Wright, UTK Recruiter visit in High School Media Center – Lower Yellow – Room 1251: Juniors 9:00-10:00 am, Seniors 10:30-11:30 am. Sign up in Naviance.


HS STUDENTS: you can begin ordering your HS yearbook at beginning in September! Order soon so you do not miss out on EARLY BIRD PRICING! 😊 See Mrs. Jones in the HS Media Center, Lower Yellow room 1251 with any questions!



Senior Announcements:

SENIORS-See Mrs. Jones in the HS Media Center, Lower Yellow room 1251 for all of your Capstone needs!


SENIORS-you will need to turn in the following in order to have a spotlight in the yearbook to Mrs. Jones in the HS Media Center, Lower Yellow room 1251:


  1. Have prestige portraits made (a must for formal pictures)
  2. a casual photo of choice (can be Prestige, but does not HAVE to be)
  3. a baby picture
  4. a senior quote


*all of these (for newspaper and yearbook) will be turned in at one time to avoid any confusion
